The  Outcasts Club Rules

 

These rules were compiled by the club committee in an effort to ensure all members of the club, the property concerned as well as any other parties, on the company premises are protected.

All OUTCASTS members & GUESTS must abide by the club rules at all times.

*Not knowing the club rules is NOT an excuse!!

*Rules and regulations are produced for the protection of our CLUB GROUNDS and its fish stocks and may be updated or amended at any time. Members are requested to please request an updated version of the rules should you not receive it automatically.

*Club employees, authorized agents, and landowners will on an irregular basis carry out site inspections to make sure that, members only and guests with valid reservations are using the property and that all members and guests are complying with the property and club rules and regulations.

*Violation of any regulation will subject the member and guest to immediate expulsion from the property’s well as possible expulsion from the club depending on the severity of the offence.

*Neither the company nor the club can be held responsible for any loss, injury due to theft, fire, or any other possible means that may be caused while on company property. An indemnity form will be signed by each member during registration as well as when signing the register to fish on the property.                                                                                                                                                                                      
*Each member and guest must agree to respect all rights, rules and regulations of the property owners who are allowing us on their property and to be personally responsible for any damage caused on the property.

*All members must keep to the waterside or roadways granted, close all gates and must not trespass on any land.

* If any member is found to be guilty of breaking, damaging fences, trees, crops, flora, fauna, river banks, insulting any landlords or any other behaviour that is of a lewd manner or found to reflect the club or its members in a negative manner, the Officers and Committee shall hold a meeting and if proved guilty he or she may be expelled from the club.

*Anglers are requested to be careful and to determine the boundaries of the water to which the club has control.

*Any person fishing at/on any private water without permission, which may join or intersect the club waters, is liable to the forfeiture of membership pending the outcome of an investigation and ruling by committee members.

*Any members found to be involved in any form illegal fishing activity, shall immediately forfeit their membership.

Membership Termination
* The Club reserves the right to terminate the membership of any member without stated reason, by notifying the member of the termination in writing. Members have 48 hours to contest this after which a panel meeting will be held consisting of the club committee as well as a minimum of 2 members.


Rules

1)There must always be 2 or more fishermen fishing together for safety reasons.

2)Life jackets must be worn or on person at all times by all persons on any water craft.

3)When planning to fish at any of the club dams, the club member must notify the club committee within at least 24 hours in advance to make necessary arrangements with land owners and to notify them who will be on the premises. A register book will be provided at designated safety gate for entry and exit. NOTE no show of card no access will be granted to the company ground.

4)No petrol motors allowed.

5)No loud music.

6)No alcohol allowed.

7)No swimming allowed.

8)Camping is prohibited on club properties. There for fishing is only permitted from sunrise to sunset (pending arrangement of night fishing socials as set out and arranged by club committee members.)

9)Fires are strictly prohibited on Club properties.

10)Membership Identification must be on person at all times.

11)ALL fishing is strictly CATCH & RELEASE. In the event of a fish dying, it needs to be disregarded on site. No fish may be sold directly or indirectly. A breach of this rule entails immediate termination of membership (pending the outcome of an investigation.)

12)A maximum of 2 non-members is allowed to fish with a member, only if accompanied by the affiliated member. (R150pp)

13)All water crafts must have adequate safety equipment and may be subject to inspection.

14)No Littering shall be tolerated.  dustbins are not provided on club properties and provision to remove waste should be made by the member or guests. If a member finds that upon arrival that surrounding areas have been left in a state, members are requested to contact the club committee immediately so that a clean-up can be arranged And a investigation to be conducted.                                                                                             

15) There are no Sanitation facilities as this is not public property no temporary facilitation is planned to be provided for the foreseeable future.

PRIVATE PROPERTY

Non members caught at this dam will have there cars towed or the police will be called for trespassing.

Land is owned by Brick and clay and run by THE OUTCASTS.

Tournament rules

 

Registration starts 1 hour before the competition start time. Once registered, anglers are required to wait for the debriefing before setting off.

* No fishing is permitted before the debriefing or the allocated start time..

*If you wish to join later you are to communicate with the organisers in advance to make the necessary plans

*Any anglers arriving after the initial registration time will need to wait until after the competition start time to register

*All anglers must propel their own craft and are not allowed to pull (or be pulled / pushed) by another angler, UNLESS in an emergency situation. In such situations the angler being pulled is to remain on their craft as well as their catch for the day and should contact the organisers for final decision. (it is ur own responsibility to get to weigh in on time...)

*Anglers who do not register and have not paid their entry fees, will not be eligible for prize giving nor will their scores reflect on the tournament scoring.

*Registration opens at 5:30am and will run until 6:30am (Dependant on venue) 

*A tag system will be put in place you will receive a tag after registration Tag board closes 16H00, no tag on the board will lead to DQ unless it was an emergency situation or lost tag. (Lost tag must be reported before tag board closing otherwise it will be a DQ.)

*Follow-me bags and live well checks will be performed from 6:00am to 6:20am 

*Debriefing takes place from 6:15am to 6:30am 

*Competition starts at 6:30am (Dependant on venue) 7:00am till 4pm sharp

*The use of alcohol and/or non-medical drugs during competitions is prohibited. Violation of this rule will result in competition disqualification 

*Littering will not be tolerated. Angler’s found littering will be asked to clean up their mess. If they refuse they will be disqualified from the day’s proceedings and possibly banned from future tournaments 

*The organisers, their sponsors and/or representatives cannot be held responsible for the loss, damage or injury to the competitor’s or spectators.

*Many of the competitions will be held on property belonging to private individuals. Such properties have their own rules and regulations, which must be adhered to at all times prior to, during, and after a competition 

*The competition organisers and marshals are responsible for the fair and impartial application of the rules. The decisions of the organisers and marshals are final. In the event that an interpretation of the rules are necessary, the organisers and marshals may, at his or her sole discretion, request the organisers, marshals and competitors present at the competition to vote on the issue for a final resolution

*The organizers of the competitions would like to promote a sense of sportsmanship, respect and proper conduct prior to, during and after competitions. If anyone from the public, a marshal, or competitor, view a  competitor exhibiting un-sportsman like conduct, or in any way conduct him/herself in breach of the competition’s rules prior to, during, or after a competition, they could be disqualified from that competition, and future competitions

* Any angler wishing to raise an infringement matter should do so once all weigh-ins are completed and before prize giving

*Should any infringement on these rules be brought to the attention of organizers, the organizers will take all evidence into account, deliberate, and pass their verdict before prize giving.  organizers' verdicts are final and further deliberation will not be taking into consideration.

*All fishing must be conducted from a watercraft of sorts. Combustion motors will be allowed.

*All fishing vessels are allowed as long as they are safe to be on the water..

​*Any craft that is propelled by motor, electric means, or by oars is required to have a functional livewell. Such a live well should meet minimum requirements. Your livewell should be able to hold a minimum of 20L per 3 fish. Your live well should at least have an aerator and preferably have a bilge pump as well, water has to be replaced regularly and the fish’s health is the angler’s responsibility. Should your livewell not meet minimum specifications you will not be permitted to fish the tournament.

*Any craft that is propelled by kicking is to utilize an approved follow-me bag. However, if the angler wishes to utilize a livewell instead, please refer to the minimum live well requirements. Should your follow-me bag or live well not meet minimum specifications you will not be permitted to fish the tournament.

*Only live, healthy fish will be weighed and added to the competitor's scorecard, Note Fish must be able to swim away a fish turning will be taken as a dead fish. On the water, weigh-in will be allowed prior to 1 hour before the cut-off. Way station opens from 12H00,                             only fish over 1kg will be weighed on the water unless otherwise stated at the venue.

*The weigh-in time will be announced at the briefing prior to the competition start time. All anglers must be in the weigh-in queue at the announced time. 

*Tag must be on the board for your catch to be noted towards the scorecard.

*Any number of fish may be caught and released during tournament day, however only a maximum of 3 fish may be weighed by the weigh-in marshals. Weight will be measured in kilograms.

*once a fish is weighed in it can not be exchanged, so manage your catches.

*Competition anglers may not fish outside of their CRAFT for any reason. Anglers must be in/on their CRAFT whilst fishing. If any angler needs to leave the water for any reason whatsoever during the competition, they must enter the water again at the same location as they left.

*Only members of the bass family may be weighed-in 

*Culling is permitted. Only a total of 3 fish per angler can be kept in a follow-me bag or live well at any given time. Anglers with more than 3 fish per angler in a livewell or follow-me bag will incur a 1000gram penalty

*No stringers are permitted 

*Only artificial lures are allowed to be used 

*Scent sprays and additives are permitted  

*Strictly NO Live-Baiting permitted 

*Only one wet line per angler is permitted at any given time. Any angler(s) that are found to be making use of multiple wet lines will be warned if caught again will be disqualified. 

*Intentional damaging of fish (Fin Clipping, illegal tagging, or disfiguration of any kind) will lead to instant disqualification.

*A minimum radius of 30 meters must be kept between anglers at all times. No angler may cast into or move into another angler’s area at any time during the competition unless invited by that angler, In which case you must also vacate the area on request. Any discretion against this rule must be brought to the attention of the organizers in writing and video evidence. These discretions will be filed and taken up with the relevant offenders.

*Marker buoys are permitted by anglers.

*Life jackets are compulsory at all events. Each craft MUST have sufficient life jackets on board for its participants. Competitors under the age of 12 are required to wear their life jackets while underway

*All vessels are to conform to the ruling SAMSA regulations

*All complaints in writing to be handed in before prize giving for the committee to make a final decision no afterward complaints will be entertained.

Comp starts at                                 6:30am till 4pm sharp - Electric propelled and kickers

                                                          6:45am till 4pm -  15Hp and under

                                                          7:00am till 4pm -  15 hp and up

The idle speed rule has fallen away so motors are allowed at full thrust!

*Winter comps may start 30 Min Later

*When there is mist comp will only start when it clears.
